When I logged into my PayPal account today I was sent to a Security Measures screen.?

The screen said "We are currently performing regular maintenance of our security measures. Your account has been randomly selected for this maintenance, and you will now be taken through a series of identity verification pages." I was then asked to re-enter my credit card and bank account information. Is this normal? I'm concerned because it's worded almost identically to fraudulent emails I've gotten in the past wanting PayPal account information.|||your paranoid.if you logged into paypal why would they send you some place other then paypal?
