I have requested to close my secured credit card account about 2 weeks ago. The reason why I requested to close it is because I will start getting charged a monthly maintenance fee of $10 a month. How long do you think it will take them to close it?|||They should have closed it immediately.Meaning you can't charge anything to the account, but still must make your payments.
Call them up if you are not sure if they closed it.

What bank should i open a savings account with?
I just turned 18 and want to open a savings account without my parents knowing about it. I have a little over 1k in cash to put in it. I do not really care about earning interest, I just want to be able to withdraw it easily, and deposit cash into it locally I want one without a minimum balance or maintenance fees. Yes, this does happen every once in awhile. There is nothing to worry about.|||I get that all the time. I usually just attempt to sign in again right away (because the sign-in pops up again) and I am able to sign in. If you are still not able to sign in (which happens sometimes as well) then just wait about 10 minutes and try again.... but there's nothing to worry about!|||I've been getting the message for the past 2 1/2 hours as well.|||yeah occasionally but i can normally log on about a minute later

My Maintenance grant and loan was supposed to go into my account on Thursday! I've got to pay halls do I have to wait 5 days for it to clear or should it have gone in immediately!

It shouldn't take any longer than 5 days to clear but the backlog means lots of people are without funding.|||i got mine on the 28th of october. student finance are an absolute joke, keep pressuring them and keep on their case so it does get sort out in the end. it will all make sense when your account is up 拢1,700 and you laugh while drinking your first drink courtesy of them (and tax payers)|||In most cases your financial aid awards will disperse to the school or university you are attending about 3 weeks once the semester starts. If you are eligible for any type of refund from the awards it will normally come about 5 weeks into the semester. This is just an example of what the normal time line will run for someone using government aid through the FAFSA

sorry for not reveal hw much im paying for the maintenance for the kids, they are already grown up and still studying at college, the kids are complaining they are given minimum sum of pocket money from their mother, as they knew how much im given maintenance for them through their mother's account, and on top of that ive given some extra money to them personally for their expenses. If this going to prolong i pity the kids, rather the mother are enjoying the half of the money. How does freezing a bank account work?
Is it possible to freeze my BoA account so I won't be charged the monthly maintenance fee and still be able to unfreeze it after a couple of months?|||I used to work for Bank of America. You can't freeze your account in order to get out of paying a montly maintenance fee. I would call customer service and ask them to switch you to a better account, one where you don't incur any fees. I believe they still have MyAcess Checking, where you don't have any services charges as long as you have one direct deposit a month. If you change the kind of account you have, it won't change your account number or your card number or anything like that.|||doubtful

If my partner moves in will tax credits take into account that he pays maintenance to his ex?
I'd like my partner to move in with me but have to prepare financially. Currently I receive no child support from my ex, work full time and get tax credits. My partner also works full time and pays child support to his ex.
Will my tax credits drop by the full amount of his income or will they allow for the fact that he pays 拢500 a month to his ex?
I am very concerned that he may have to reduce the maintenance he pays to the minimum set down by the csa in order to give me enough to compensate for the loss of tax credits. I don't like the idea of his children losing out to mine but can't see my two going without so that I can live with the man I love.

The best option is call them and explain the situation to the tax credit people

If you love him you will work this out .. your children will not do without and at a best guess you will lose roughly 拢40 pw but he can always do overtime to make up the difference and your childcare costs will drop

i can't log in whatsoever as it comes up with something to do with the fact a function is disabled, i tried viewing my profile from another friend's account and it said that it was undergoing maintenance. All my other friends are on myspace and have signed in easily. What's going on?
